Message	from idiots trying to jack from the 'approved' jack points and fucking it up through inexperience. Sounds like what you've seen on the rear diff. If you're careful with jack placement and lifting the car, you won't damage the rear cover and fins, the jack should never touch that part of the diff. If it does, you're doing it wrong.
